This unusual looking motorcycle was on the cover of “Popular Science” in 1924. The machine was invented and build by Davide Gisladi, employed as a motorcycle police officer in Milan. The new vehicle was called velicita (Italian for “speed”) and also motormota by its designer. One way to describe the idea behind this machine is that it consists of a very small motorcycle that rides the inside of a giant wheel.
